Privacy Policy

This policy covers the HLS Labs website (hls-labs.com) and the Qilt product site (qilt.app), including the waitlist. We've kept it short and in plain language.

What we collect

If you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you give us, the page you signed up from, the time you signed up, and the approximate location your signup came from (city, region, postal code, and timezone, as estimated by Cloudflare). We never store your IP address with your signup. Cloudflare, our hosting provider, also processes standard technical logs, including IP address and browser information, to serve and protect the site.

What we use it for

Two things: emailing you when your Qilt invite is ready, and seeing which cities have enough demand to open the beta. We don't send a newsletter, we don't sell or share your email with anyone, and we don't use it for advertising.

Where it lives

Waitlist entries are stored in a database on Cloudflare's infrastructure, with a copy in our Google Workspace that we use for the demand-by-city numbers. Access to both is limited to the founders of HLS Labs.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If we use analytics, it's Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and doesn't track you across sites.

Removing yourself

Email contact@hls-labs.com from the address you signed up with and we'll delete it — permanently, usually within a few days.
